Join us for fun and fellowship as we celebrate with our annual Easter Egg Hunt. The event will take place on the church lawn, and will be lots of fun! Lunch will be served in Davidson River Hall. Bring a blanket if you’d like to picnic on the lawn. We will share the story of Easter and, of course have an egg hunt!

After 18 great years of celebrating and sharing with the community the amazing outdoor offerings and activities that are found in WNC, we’ve decided to shutter the Mountain Sports Festival. So, get on that mountain bike, road bike, cyclocross bike, SUP, kayak, canoe or Bellyak. Lace up those running shoes, trail shoes, climbing shoes or hiking boots and head down to the Salvage Station on Friday, May 3rd to join us for one last big party.
All are welcome to come and listen to some amazing music, have a drink and a bite and participate in a raffle/silent auction and share some memories.
Donations will be accepted for Streets to Peaks and the Woodfin Wave (RiverLink).
The schedule for the evening is this:
5 p.m. – Party starts – probably some announcements interspersed
6 to 7:30 p.m. – Supatight
7:30 to 7:50 p.m. – MSF presentation
8 to 9:30 p.m. – The Get Right Band
10 p.m. – tearful group hug (just kidding – but the party is over and you should all go home)

“My Way Matinee” Sensory Friendly Movie Screening
“My Way Matinee!” sensory friendly movie showings at Regal Cinemas Biltmore Grande 15 & RPX in Biltmore Park Town Square. “For many families, going to see a movie is an entertaining way to spend time together. But for kids with sensory challenges, the traditional movie experience can be overwhelming. Loud noises, bright lights, and strange smells can be stressful. As part of the “My Way Matinee” program, the films are shown with brighter lighting, softer sound, and room to wiggle. Everyone is welcome to cry, sing, shout and dance!”

SlackPark
Join Asheville Parks and Recreation for a SlackPark at Hummingbird Park (Starnes/Cumberland Avenues). We will have traditional and challenge lines set for the community to sample and conquer. Slacklining is the act of walking or balancing along a suspended length of flat webbing that is tensioned between two anchors. Come hangout, picnic and challenge yourself. As slacklining is no fun when the lines are wet, we will cancel if raining or threat of rain.
They’ll have some pre-K lines, but most everything else will be 6+, as they’re shying away from parents fully holding kids on the lines. They’ll be marked with suggested ages.
