As the Bulldogs prepare for the 2019-20 basketball season, UNC Asheville’s men’s and women’s basketball programs are set to host Bulldog Madness, presented by Ingles, Tuesday, October 22 at Kimmel Arena.
Bulldog Madness is a FREE pep rally and season preview event featuring fun for the whole family, giveaways for students and the first opportunity to pick up season tickets. Doors to Kimmel Arena will open at 5:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 6 p.m.
The women’s and men’s basketball teams will be introduced for the first time this season, and fans in attendance will have the opportunity to hear from women’s head coach Brenda Kirkpatrick Brown and men’s head coach Mike Morrell.
There will be a three-point shooting competition between the two teams and a lucky student will have the chance to win a prize based on the winning team. The teams will also put their talents on display as each will have a 10 minute intrasquad scrimmage.
Also featured throughout the evening will be performances by the Bulldogs’ pep band and spirit program, and Rocky will be involved in the festivities as well.
Fans will have the opportunity to pick up schedule posters for the first time, and both teams will be signing autographs after the event.
Bulldog Madness presented by Ingles will feature a Family Zone in the Arby’s Scholarship Deck of Kimmel Arena that will have an inflatable bounce house, face painter and balloon artist.
Students in attendance will not only have opportunities to win prizes throughout the event, there also will be FREE pizza provided by Pizza Hut and popcorn provided by Chartwells.
The event will offer season ticket holders their first opportunity to pick up their tickets for the 2019-20 season inside the Ingles Mountain View Room of Kimmel Arena.
