BeLoved Village HOME Raising!
Come be a part of this incredible day as we celebrate the raising of our model home in the BeLoved Village! We are turning a vision as big as our hearts and imagination into reality.
Imagine a place to call home that is beautiful, safe, deeply affordable. Imagine a place surrounded by community, trees, gardens, and good neighbors. Imagine a place near public transportation with access to food and job opportunities. Imagine a place that has dignity and equity.
In the midst of the housing crisis in Asheville and Buncombe County, we envisioned a new model of home and community. The BeLoved Village will be a new solution to the housing crisis that is deeply affordable (at 30% Area Median Income), community-oriented, sustainable, and produces equity for village residents. This is a first for Asheville!
Come celebrate with us! Be inspired by hearing the Village story.
Check out the Village site and see the first model home as we begin building! Find out how you can help be the change. We will have music, time with our friends and neighbors, and light refreshments!

Berrian All-County Orchestra Fall Festival
This year’s festival showcases all 170 high school orchestra students currently enrolled in a strings program at one of our high schools. The evening will include All-County Honors Orchestra directed by Dr. Rebecca Macleod and the Repertory Orchestra, directed by our own, Mrs. Tiffany King.
Featuring high school musicians in the fall, and middle schoolers in the spring, the annual concerts are named in honor of Dr. Mae Adele Berrian, an historic honoree of the Henderson County Education Foundation who willed a large sum of money to the Foundation to start the long-term Berrian Fund for the HCPS strings programs.
The Berrian All-County Orchestra Fall Festival will take place in the Technology Education & Development Center at Blue Ridge Community College. Annually a standing-room-only event, attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure parking and seating. As always, the concert is FREE to the public, though donations will be accepted by the Education Foundation to continue support of the HCPS strings program through its Berrian Fund.
