Fall Stargazing: The Great Pumpkin Moon (In The Pumpkin Patch)
Sit amongst the pumpkins in our pumpkin patch, enjoying the cool fall weather and embracing the spirit of the season. Local astronomer and author Stephan Martin will take you on a tour of the stars and constellations and the great pumpkin moon.
We’ll discuss some of the myths of the constellations along with the seasonal changes in the sky at this time as well as some of the latest discoveries in astronomy and theories of the universe. All ages are welcome and no background in astronomy or science is required.

Halloween After Party Zumba/Hip-hop
Halloween has always been our favorite party of the year! Enjoy Scandals spooky decor and use that costume and make-up again (or just leave it on if you’ve partied all night) and join us for a dance fitness party with all of the usual suspects.

We will have one prize valued at $200 for the best costume voted for by a panel (yes you can vote for yourselves).

Brevard Ballet presents The Nutcracker
Celebrate the holidays with a local twist on a traditional classic. Brevard Ballet’s presentation of The Nutcracker brings in the story of the Silversteen family and is set in the Silvermont Mansion in Brevard, NC. Showtime is 5pm on November 24th at Jones Auditorium at Brevard High School.

A day full of free activities for kids and adults alike! Everyone is invited to come visit the new Wortham Center for the Performing Arts for a community open house filled with free family fun, Sat. Oct. 19, 10am-5pm. http://bit.ly/wortham-welcome-day
Welcome Day at the Wortham begins at 10 a.m. with a free movie screening (Disney Pixar’s animated film, “Coco”), and continues with events throughout the day, including a raffle, two guided tours of the facility, outdoor music, and kids’ crafts, yoga and theatre games — and closing out at 4 p.m. with a free concert from the U.S. Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors.
