Lake Junaluska’s annual Independence Day Celebration features music, barbecue and fun — from concerts to fireworks to floating wish lanterns. We invite you to check out the holiday weekend of schedule of events for family-friendly activities enjoy and soak up summer with time at our lakeside swimming pool, a round of golf or mini golf, a cruise on the Cherokee IV pontoon boat, or a canoe, kayak or paddleboard rental.

- 11 a.m. | Decorated Kayak/Canoe/Paddleboard Flotilla Contest Colonnade (Register online)
- 12:30 p.m. | Judging for Decorated Porches Contest (Register online)
- 6 p.m. | Jason Crabb Concert and Comedian Mickey Bell Stuart Auditorium (Buy Tickets!)
- 9:30 p.m. | Fireworks From the Lake Junaluska Dam … Colorful displays of fireworks will cast reflections on the lake as part of Lake Junaluska’s Independence Day Celebrations! The fireworks will be set off from the bridge over-the-dam and visible from locations around the lake.

- 11:00am | Parade North Lakeshore Drive … The theme this year is “From Sea to Shining Sea!” Find a spot on North Lakeshore Drive and watch as the parade proceeds from Lambuth Inn to Nanci Weldon Memorial Gym.
- 12:00pm-2:00pm 12-2 p.m. | Family Fun on the Fourth … Cookout Buffet Picnic, Whitewater Bluegrass (live music), Family Square Dance & More Kid-Friendly Fun. Open-Air Nanci Weldon Memorial Gym LEARN MORE HERE
