“The goal of this session is to equip parents with helpful tools that can assist them in holding meaningful conversations with their children about race and race relations. Children are privy to social issues that are happening all around them. News outlets, social media, and other influences are constantly making our children aware of what is happening in the world, but don’t provide much opportunity for kids to ask questions, share their thoughts, or discuss these complex issues in a safe and supportive environment. Parents will leave this session equipped with a basic toolkit that can be used to hold meaningful dialogue with their kids about race, race relations, equity, and inclusion.”
