Gardening Talks for Busy People, Parents & Children of All Ages @ Skyland/South Buncombe Library | Asheville | North Carolina | United States

Want to get your children to eat more veggies? Strapped for time but still want homegrown, fresh food? Join Rachel Strivelli, a former classroom teacher with a Masters of Science in Soil Science to learn how to make gardening a fun and easy family affair.  Gardening with children is a great way to foster love of the outdoors and more veggie-eating in children.

Rachel will guide you through the most essential parts of a productive garden and how you can take shortcuts and still have a good harvest your whole family can enjoy. At the end of the talk, parents and children will plant seeds to take home to start their own garden.

This event is free and open to all ages. Sponsored by the Friends of the South Buncombe Library.
