“Presented by Bright Star Touring Theatre

This show is a celebration of African American folktales, oral traditions & literature. We are so thrilled to present trickster shorts like the Anansi Tales that can be traced back to the African Continent to the trickster rabbit stories of the Southern Gullah people. We also showcase tall tales like John Henry which became especially popular during the Civil Rights Movement. This interactive production is an exciting and enthusiastic exploration into this wonderful literary world.

Student matinee tickets are $6.  Reservations are first come, first serve, and seating is limited.  Reservations can be made by mail or phone.  One free chaperone ticket is given per 25 paid tickets.

Please feel free to call Chanda Calentine if you have any questions at 828-254-1320 x27. Call the Box Office Manager Waylon Wood at 828-254-1320 x21 to make reservations.”
