Explore a 200-acre Former NASA Facility @ Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute | Rosman | North Carolina | United States

Explore a 200-acre former NASA facility — historic scientific instruments, active research site, science and technology education. Enjoy hiking trails, campus tours, scenic mountain views, hands-on space and earth science exhibit galleries, a nature center and more.

PARI is open to the public for self-guided tours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Closed Sunday.

Scheduled guided tours are available each Wednesday at 2 p.m. and each Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Volunteer docents provide commentary on PARI’s history as a pivotal part of the pioneering early days of our nation’s space program and guide you to some behind-the-scenes looks at the historic instruments that still populate the campus. The general admission price covers the docent tours, but reservations are suggested. To make reservations contact visitor services at 828-862-5554.

Pre-arranged guided tours for groups can be scheduled during normal operating hours by calling visitor services at 828-862-5554. The rate is $15 per person with a flat rate of $150 for groups of less than 10 people.
