Tannery Skate Park, located at the intersection of Silversteen Drive and McMinn Avenue, will feature two wooden half-pipe ramps, 40 by 50 feet in size, one for beginner to intermediate skaters and one for expert skaters. The latter would lend itself to skate-related events. As proposed, the skate park can be built for $97,000. In-kind donations of $37,000 for volunteer labor and professional services have been secured. Since June, the task force has raised $20,000 and aims to raise $40,000 by October 2018. The city is donating the land and will operate and maintain the venue once it is built. The project is slated for city approval and construction in late 2018.
Your donations and support, no matter how small, will be graciously accepted and appreciated! All contributions made to the “City of Brevard” are tax-deductible (please put “skate park project” on the memo line).
