Bug Day & National Pollinator Week Celebration @ Cradle of Forestry - Historic Site & Discovery Center  | Pisgah Forest | North Carolina | United States

$5.00 for ages 16 and up, free for youth

 

The Cradle of Forestry invites the curious of all ages to learn about insects and other arthropods. This event will be held in and around the Forest Discovery Center at the Cradle of Forestry and commemorates National Pollinator Week.

  • Learn about the Cradle of Forestry’s efforts to convert lawn areas to meadow habitat for native plants and their pollinators, and how you can do the same.
  • Learn about monarch butterflies, their migration, and how you can help their survival.
  • See an enclosed observation hive containing thousands of live honeybees and learn about the fascinating lifecycle of these social insects, how honey is made, and how to get started as a beekeeper.
