Become a Citizen Scientist ecoEXPLORER! @ in your neighborhoods, libraries and at the Arboretum
SCIENTISTS NEED YOUR HELP!
ecoEXPLORE is an incentive-driven science enrichment program of The North Carolina Arboretum Society that engages K-8th grade students in WNC, in guided and self-directed citizen science activities, that combines science exploration with kid-friendly technology to foster a fun learning environment for children and encourages them to explore the outdoors and become a citizen scientist. Students engage as active participants of the scientific method as they record observations of organisms found in their neighborhoods, libraries and at the Arboretum.” See it, Snap it, Share it! Get out and explore, take photographs of what you find, and then email your observations in to earn points you can use to get Field Tools from GetSpots.
If you would like to solve scientific mysteries, discover new species, or contribute real scientific data to scientists, become an ecoEXPLORER!
Earn prizes and badges, meet and work with real scientists, receive FREE invites to special programs & events at The North Carolina Arboretum, and help scientists study wildlife.
