Nationally-recognized storyteller Adam Booth will give two free performances at Buncombe County Libraries in August. The events are for adults and for children ages 5 and older.
Adam Booth’s storytelling blends traditional folklore, music, and an awareness of contemporary Appalachia. His original voice, both humorous and touching, is influenced by generations of diverse storytellers from West Virginia. His stories and recordings have been honored with two Parents’ Choice awards, three Storytelling World Award recognitions, and four West Virginia Liars’ Contest wins. He was a featured teller at the 2015 International Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee.
These free shows will be Tuesday, August 16 at 3pm at the Black Mountain Library and Thursday, August 18 at 2pm the Leicester Library. Call either library for more information.
