Myths, Legends and the Power of Imagination

Get ready to jump into the world of myths, legends and wild imaginations! We will explore the breadth of various stories that have been with us for centuries. We will engage as many mediums as possible as we write, draw, sculpt, create books and more! There will be free design time, snack time and outside time. Please bring a lunch and water bottle. Kids Natural Building Adventures

Join us as we work collaboratively to construct an outdoor installation at the Roots and Wings campus utilizing ancient building techniques of making a mixture of clay, sand, and straw. Learn to be like other artists throughout history as we will source and use materials found in nature to create art and design. This camp will get campers actively making, building, and creating with natural and found materials. Come enjoy the outdoors with us as we learn how to build with our hands & mix mud with our feet! There will be free design time, snack time, outside time, and take home projects. Please bring a lunch and water bottle. All materials included

Fantastic Faces, Food and Wild Places

Heroes, Heroines and Tricksters: Stories of Strength and Resilience

Learn creative drama techniques while exploring myths and folktales that feature courageous characters from around the world. Campers will act out stories, like Vasilisa the Brave, that feature s/heroes and heroes who display wisdom and bravery in the face of adversity. We will boost our creativity through improvisation, pantomime, puppetry, prop and costume creation. At the same time we will be building cooperation, empathy, and communication skills as we play.
