Hobey Ford and his Golden Rod puppets explore the wonders of migration through the story of a Mexican girl named Beatriz and her migration to the United States juxtaposed with the stories of other animals that migrate; Monarch Butterflies, polar bears, the Godwit bird and the Sperm Whale. To take the audience along the journey of these amazing creatures, realistic puppets perform behind a thin circular scrim onto which is projected Hobey’s original artwork.  Hobey performs in full view in his role as storyteller and puppeteer creating a seamless and gorgeous production with a touching story of hope and change. The show will be followed by a question and answer session with Hobey and his puppets. Age 5 & up.
