Fifteen years ago, the Town of Sylva, Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department and Jackson County Chamber of Commerce teamed up to create the Concerts on the Creek music series at Bridge Park in Sylva.

The 15th annual season will start on Friday, May 24 (Memorial Day weekend) and end on Friday, Aug. 30 (Labor Day weekend). That will be 15 Fridays of Concerts on the Creek, with the Fireworks Festivities and concert on Thursday, July 4 sprinkled in for good measure. These events are held every Friday from 7-9 p.m.

  • Friday, May 24: TLQ+2, classic rock covers (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, May 31: Southern Vantage, classic rock and country hits (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, June 7: Flashback Band, classic rock hits from the 80s and more (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, June 14: Whiskey Mountain Band, classic rock and country favorites (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, June 21: The V8s, classic rock, motown, beach favorites, (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, June 28: Darren Nicholson Band, bluegrass, traditional country, Americana and award-winning originals (7-9 p.m.)
  • Thursday, July 4: Fireworks Festivities, Gotcha Groove, classic rock/pop/soul/Motown/beach/R&B classics (6:30-9:30 p.m.) *Fireworks display at dark
  • Friday, July 5: Arnold Hill, rock/alternative originals/covers, (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, July 12: Tuxedo Junction, classic hits, (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, July 19: Asheville Junction, bluegrass and Americana, (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, July 26: PMA, roots/reggae/dub/fusion, (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, Aug 2: Natti Love Joys, roots reggae, (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, Aug 9: Robertson Boys, bluegrass, (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, Aug 16: Shane Meade & The Sound, original rock/Americana (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, Aug. 23: Dashboard Blue, classic hits, (7-9 p.m.)
  • Friday, Aug. 30: Maggie Valley Band, original American/country/rock, (7-9 p.m.)

These events are free with donations encouraged. Everyone is welcome. Dogs must be on a leash. No smoking, vaping, coolers or tents allowed. Bring a chair or blanket. Food trucks will be available on select nights.
