Join Oso Rey and 200 dance ambassadors from Mexico, Ghana, Japan, France, Romania, Dominican Republic, Peru, China, Poland, Finland and Cherokee for an international dance party with iconic American and international dance music.
Oso Rey is a California songwriter/producer/DJ who has called Asheville home for the past decade.
He mashes together musical elements from reggae, worldbeat, afro-pop, soul, and funk along with original bass-heavy beats. His diverse reach in music over the past 20 tears has allowed him to open for groups such as No Doubt, Magic!, the Bug, Post Malone, and Sublime.
He will be curating an eclectic mix for FOLKMOOT’s first dance party, drawing from all of the various countries’ music being represented in the festival for 2016.
Current projects include “Debrissa and the Bear King“, producing an upcoming EP for the artist, “Louque”, as well as DJ’ing all over the Southeast.
