Calling all ghoulish runners and zombie walkers! Join Polk County Public Libraries for the first annual family friendly Trick-or-Trot 5k event. The library is partnering with community members and businesses in Polk County to provide a free walk/run road race. Race participants are encouraged to complete the course in costume and gather treats at the candy stops along the route.
Does the idea of running a 5k leave you feeling like you’ve just seen a ghost? Have no fear! A free nine-week training plan is available to all participants and can be obtained from Columbus Library or Saluda Library (or downloaded at https://polklibrary.org/trick-or-trot-5k/).
Online registration is now open! Visit https://runsignup.com/Race/NC/Tryon/PCPLTrickorTrot5k to sign up. Details concerning packet pick-up, race route, and official custom t-shirts are available on the registration site.
