2nd Annual Fourth of July DARC Social Ride & Consider Haiti Fundraiser

If you haven’t already done so, it’s high time to get yourself signed up and tuned up!

The Long Ride will roll from The Parker-Patton House (95 Charlotte St, Asheville) @ 2:30pm.

It includes gravel road climbs and descents…and there will be timed segments! You should plan on ~2.5 hours duration.

The Short Ride will roll from The Parker-Patton House (95 Charlotte St, Asheville) @ 3:45pm.
Here’s the RideWithGPS ride file: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27900760. As you’ll see, it is routed closer to town, and is on paved roads only. It should be ~45-55 minutes duration. There are a few folks who’ve said they’d be interested in a little more riding & climbing, so after returning to the Parker-Patton House, there will be an extension doing a Sunset Mtn loop (another ~45 minutes).

After you clean up and change clothes, as we did last year, we will gather at Jim Siemens’ The Patton-Parker House at 6:00pm, where there will be gourmet food provisioned by our sponsors The Chop Shop Butchery & Gan Shan Station. There will again be lively musical entertainment, and lots of camaraderie.

Note: Beverages will be B.Y.O.B.

Everyone is welcomed to hang around for the City of Asheville’s Fourth of July fireworks display starting at 9:30pm. Bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets to sit, relax, socialize.
