Scientists need your help in studying plants and animals! Join us for an introduction to ecoEXPLORE, a new initiative by the North Carolina Arboretum in partnership with the Buncombe County Library System. Participants will receive a free thermometer for scientific exploration and an ecoEXPLORE patch for signing up! At this event, a special emphasis will be placed on herpetology, the study of reptiles and amphibians. Meet live, native creatures including a box turtle, a rat snake, and a toad!

Do you like to explore? Learn how you can earn special patches and free tickets to exciting events in the area by exploring nature (even in your own backyard)! This free program is recommended for ages 8 to 13 but all ages are welcome.
