Asheville's Hidden Racial History: CLX Racial Equity Workshop @ Claxton Elementary School | Asheville | North Carolina | United States

Some of Asheville’s racial history is hidden away, and some of it is hidden in plain sight. Who were the people behind names like Vance, Merrimon, Woodfin, Patton and Dickson? What people and places have been mostly forgotten? Learn about the research that Claxton students have done, and join us in a discussion about how we as a community are affected by who and what we choose to remember.

These are events put on by the Claxton Social Justice League for Claxton parents and caregivers, but anyone is welcome to attend.

Childcare will be provided for Claxton families only with sign in open at 5:45

Light snacks provided

Workshop is from 6pm-8pm and will take place at Claxton Elementary

Free! Registration encouraged but not required: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/clx-workshop-1-understanding-privilege-tickets-41924007836?utm_term=eventurl_text
